Trying to use a mirror and flashlight is awkward, especially when you are also trying to keep your hand steady. This tool makes that much easier. The light is strong enough to illuminate the tonsil area, and the camera has enough usable resolution to make self-inspection practical.Setup was also easier than I expected. The app installs quickly. You hold the power button to turn on the device hotspot, then connect through the app over WiFi. For this kind of live camera feed, that felt simpler and more reliable than dealing with Bluetooth pairing. Once connected, the app gives a live view so you can focus on the area you are trying to inspect.The listing mentions 1080p, and that may be technically correct, but the overall image quality is not nearly what that number should be capable of. In actual use, the image is still clear enough for the purpose, which is the main point.I also like that this can be useful even before trying to remove anything. Tonsil stones can be easy to miss or mistake for other causes of bad breath or throat irritation, so being able to inspect the tonsil area clearly has real value. It also works well as a general close-up inspection camera for other visible hard-to-see areas.The kit includes several attachment sizes and tools, but I would use them carefully. The app (Soulear) needed to run the camera that comes with this set does not pass the sniff test; we do not feel comfortable connecting to their signal.I ordered this primarily for the intraoral camera- so I'm disappointed there's conflicting information regarding the app's permissions and with that, some red flags regarding network security. Even without the camera function, this is still a great set to have for all kinds of intraoral care. The flashlight is excellent and that function alone is nice to have. The syringe is very handy too, really, the entire kit is still useful, even without the camera app. Everything pictured in the description arrived within the box. Be careful with the cheek retractors, fumbling too much and/or placing them incorrectly will be very uncomfortable/even painful. Keep the handle down and squeeze the retractor into a more closed position before trying to get it settled into the right spot within the mouth.If the camera is not used and charged frequently, it's recommended to charge it at least once a month for optimal battery performance/longevity. Be sure to sanitize the instruments before use. The directions recommend using a "cotton swap with alcohol" to clean the lens on the camera, not water.The camera comes with enough juice to power on, but I'm order to connect to your device, again, the app must be downloaded. There are occasional (significant) discounts, so keep a watchful eye. At the time of this review, this kit is being offered at 23.99! If you can get comfortable with the app, that's not a bad deal.

I missed that at first and thought mine wasn't working. After I followed the instructions and connected through my phone's WiFi settings, the app worked fine. It's not difficult once you understand the setup, but it definitely helps to read the manual first.I also like that it's compact and easy to clean after use. Overall, it works well and feels more high-tech than I expected, but the connection process could be a little more beginner-friendly.

I've suffered from tonsil stones off and on for about 20 years. I use a few methods to flush them out but sometimes I feel like there's more I can't see based on my mildly bad breath so I was happy to try another solution to this problem. After using my traditional methods to flush them, I used this camera and was able to find more I didn't realize were there. Now I use this about once a week to clean things up and it's working well.Setup was easy and I had the app downloaded and everything running within just a few minutes.I like that when I rotate the tool in my mouth, the camera view on the app adjusts the view so that up is always up in the picture. However, this only works when the device is in a horizontal state. This also means it can't be used when it's vertical or the picture jumps all over the page. So far that really hasn't been a problem.The device feels durable and well made. It's really thin and sleek, which is nice because I'm sticking it in my mouth. It can be charged with a PD capable USB C charger which I appreciate because I have some devices which require a dumb USB C charger and that gets annoying.It comes with a few accessories which are hit or miss. I like the variety of metal tips and I'm glad it came with them all, but I really only use one. I struggle with the syringe because the plastic lip I hold with my index finger and middle finger doesn't go all the way around the syringe. I feel like it's off by 90 degrees relative to the angle of the curved tip. It makes pressing down the plunger difficult. The plastic things that hold my mouth open just make me laugh and I don't intend to use them because I can hold my mouth open myself without any problems.All in all, I like this device because it gives me one more tool in my fight against tonsil stones and bad breath. It allows me to flush stones that I don't otherwise know are there so I'm giving this 5 stars.

A surprisingly affordable and quality stone removal tool. The camera and attachments are perfect. The use goes beyond tonsil stones. As for tonsil stones, just had two first time in life. They are miserable. The next time if it happens, I am prepared with this tool.

My daughter has regular issues with tonsil stones. I was frequently replacing what she used until I bought this setup. Still going strong after a year!!
